Elevated Psychiatry publishes educational mental health information to help readers understand common concerns, treatment options, and how to seek appropriate care. Website content does not replace an individualized evaluation, diagnosis, or treatment plan.
Who Writes and Reviews Our Content
Articles prepared on behalf of the practice are credited to the Elevated Psychiatry Editorial Team. Daniel Mattox, PMHNP-BC, is named as an individual author only when he substantially contributes to and approves the final article. A “Clinically reviewed by Daniel Mattox, PMHNP-BC” line appears only after he reviews and approves the final version; the date shown is the date of that documented review. Articles without that line should be treated as general educational material that has not yet completed the clinical-review workflow.
Review Cadence
Clinical content is reviewed before a clinical-review label is added, then evaluated at least every 12 months and sooner when guidance, evidence, medication safety information, or applicable regulations materially change. The “Last updated” date records a substantive content change; the “Clinically reviewed” date records Daniel’s review of the final version.
Source Standards
We prioritize peer-reviewed literature, American Psychiatric Association and American Academy of Pediatrics practice guidance when relevant, the DSM-5-TR, medication labeling, and government health sources such as the CDC, FDA, NIH, and state licensing agencies. Sources should directly support the claim being made and should be current enough for the topic.
